Thanks to cooperating weather, our regular crew of volunteers and our Brick Memorial High School Habitat Chapter volunteers, the house is progressing faster than anyone anticipated. The pictures above take us up to Christmas 2011.
As January comes to an end, volunteers installed the front door, windows, sliding door, and attic steps.
The HVAC work has also begun.
The electric work will also begin shortly.
More exciting progress at 1833! This week was spent tiling the bathrooms, utility room, and kitchen. Ceiling fans were also installed andmthe electrical work was completed.
The tile was donated by Ideal Tile and by individuals donating tile to our Restore
Above are pictures of Bill Chapman from Best Paving, Inc. on
his bulldozer spreading topsoil. Between Saturday and Sunday, Bill succeeded in rough grading the entire site, spreading
the huge pile of topsoil, and boxing out for the driveway. We owe Bill a BIG thank you for doing all this on his
weekend.
