Force Lends a Hand
Fourteen Air Force Military volunteers
from McGuire Air Force Base were recently on hand to lend their assistance in building a shed at the Jackson house.
Finishing touches being done at Jackson home
The water main was installed from the street to the house and the water has been turned on. The plumber continues to finish fixtures as well as the gas connections. Also the electrician is now halfway done with the final electric installation.If you drive by, you will also see that the porch posts and railings have now been installed. It won't be long now until we see a moving truck in the driveway!
Paying It Forward
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon a group of volunteers from an area church stopped by the Jackson house to work on a
few things. Among those volunteers, was Theresa and her son Dave. Theresa and her son were there to "pay it forward."
You see Theresa is a recent recipient of Northern Ocean Habitat's A Brush With Kindness. Volunteers have been at Theresa's home throughout the winter and spring making much needed repairs.
As her way of saying thank you Theresa and Dave spent the afternoon caulking the trim and baseboard as well as varnishing
some of the doors. The goodness of our volunteers and the appreciation from those they help is certainly apparent.
CAMPUS CHAPTERS LEND A HAND
Students from the Brick Memorial High School Campus Chapter work on drywall. The local Jackson Kiwanis and their corresponding Key Clubs from Jackson Liberty and Jackson Memorial High Schools continued drywalling followed by students from the Omnicorn Delta Kappa Honor Society at Georgian Court University who joined us to complete the drywall.
