Thanks to a $1,000 grant from the Lakewood Blue Claws, another neighbor has had much needed repairs done to her deteriorating home. The grant allowed Northern Ocean Habitat to provide Theresa and her family with a better quality of life and a safer home!  Theresa lives with her 2 adult sons in a small 2 bedroom mobile home. They live on SSD and struggle every month to simply afford food and basics.

Warm weather means a return to Theresa's home to complete many of the repairs that needed to be done on her mobile home. Jackson Memorial FBLA worked on roof repairs. Mon Don and Jackson Memorial High Schools have also constructed a shed for storage.

The help from our school partners has allowed us to do the renovations with energy and enthusiasm! It also educates our student volunteers on the challenges that low income families face as they struggle to remain in their homes.

Below are pictures of the "finished product"
